First-time buyers are a diverse demographic. However, many of them have certain fundamental qualities in common: They may have recently come to a new, strange city; they often are finding their way through unfamiliar customs and practices; and, the dialect and language may be difficult.
Maria Bassante knows these challenges well — for her, they were all part of growing up. At age 12, she moved from Guayaquil, Ecuador, to the U.S. when her father took a position at the Embassy of Ecuador in Washington, D.C. She lived in Maryland for five years until her father was transferred to the Consulate of Ecuador in Houston. Maria’s diverse upbringing has given her a deep understanding and respect for other cultures, allowing her to successfully guide clients of all backgrounds in their real estate transactions.
At the University of Houston, Maria earned a Master of Business Administration and started her career in real estate. With years of experience in various parts of the industry, Maria is in her element with first-time homebuyers, to whom she can provide her business acumen and seasoned listening ears. Maria’s passion and dedication to real estate are as strong as her desire to help families find their ideal home, leaving no doubt about her ability to guide delicate negotiations and complex issues to a positive outcome.
Maria and her husband, Javier, are parents to 2-year-old Amaia and 15-year-old Luciana. They love to take family walks in the park and always find an excuse for a beach day! Maria also loves teaching Bible study for kids at her local church. But wherever she is — personal and professional life alike — Maria is willing to lead with gusto.
