Energy Realty kicked off their fundraising efforts for the I Love Venezuela Foundation during the first annual Energy Corridor International Festival on April 27, 2019.
“We have so many Venezuelan friends and neighbors in the Energy Corridor, and our hearts go out to them as their country suffers,” said Sherry Campbell, owner and broker of Energy Realty. “We also have five Venezuelan agents, so we are personally connected.”
Energy Realty intends to continue to raise money for I Love Venezuela by donating a portion of sales to the foundation. The foundation was selected because of it’s widespread reach in Venezuela and it’s affiliation with the United Nations. As stated on their website, their mission is to “Create and channel resources to non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) that contribute to the well-being, human development and social transformation in Venezuela.”
“I know the founder of I Love Venezuela, Santi Chumaceiro, and they have provided so much aid to Venezuela in the form of education, health, and social development,” said Soraya Goode, Realtor at Energy Realty.
In order to bring awareness to the crisis in Venezuela, Soraya Goode and her fellow Venezuelan agents had a strong presence at the Energy Corridor International Festival with food provided by Pastelitos, artisanal products from Venezuela, and entertainment.
Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the United States, and the Energy Corridor is one of Houston’s most diverse communities. Please join us in celebrating all of our cultural differences and join Energy Realty in their effort to help Venezuela. You can also go online to ilovevenezuela.org to make donations directly online.
In addition to donating a portion of their proceeds to I Love Venezuela, Energy Realty has been a strong supporter of the the Houston Furniture Bank, a warehouse that has served over 100,000 individuals since its opening in 1992. By coordinating with D.I.V.A.S., a 501C3 non-profit charity organization that services the furniture needs of disadvantaged and deserving families in the Houston area, Energy Realty has been able to apply their talent at staging homes to sell and donate furniture from their inventory and stage homes for women in need assigned by D.I.V.A.S.
